HAPPY NEW EAR ! ! !
Like slightly acid sweeties to face the winter, the cranky-childish french trio Dragibus has just released Tutti Frutt on their own label Autobus which is now available through their Web site. A great deal of crazy rock'n'roll tunes, furious jerks, hits for school playtime that go directly from the heart to the legs. Those stories about chihuahuas' love affairs or about a bird who feels he's a dragonfly, or even about a real human fly are sung by the delicious voice of Madame Giraffe, with the accompaniment of the electric Mister Pinguin on bass and guitar, the percussive one-man band Franq, with the complicty of their pal Mami Chan. A subtle and explosive mix between italian, bresilian, south-american, japonese traditional childish songs and incredible covers from The Cramps, TV Personnalities, Moondog and even from the famous belgian post-punk Plastic Bertrand ! ! ! So a kind of hilarious pop folk-lore very twisty and suitable to kids' and kidults' parties. If you need a proof, come and visit Rennes in France on the 4th of may for the Dragibus show at The Antipode.

Dominique Grimaud followed the primitive Pascal Comelade's tracks for his new reissue collection Les Zut-O-Pistes which is brought out on this winter at Muséa / Gazul. In this first release Back To Schizo, you may find the french miniature tunes promoter Comelade when he was playing on EMS/AKS synthi between 1975 and 1983, in a kind of Brian Eno or Richard Pinhas way. With his first use of toy pianos and plastic intruments in a few pieces collected from those collectors LPs (Fluence, Paralelo, Sentimientos), EPs (Sequences pïennes, Ready-Made) and tapes (Logique du sens, Irregular Organ), one can also easily find the minimal melodies he developped since 1985 and his famous Detail Monochrome LP. Thanks to the meticulous archivist Grimaud (Cf. his anthology Un certain rock français upon french underground rock 1968-1978), this CD is accompanied by a good deal of liner notes like a great disco-concerto-biblio-graphy, some photos and an autobiographical text by Comelade himself.

To wait their new recording, you may listen to their song Waiting for my soul on the newly arrived compilation Ignoble Vermine : a tribute to Ptôse released by Muséa / Gazul and coordinated by Philippe Perreaudin from Palo Alto. This sonic boomerang gathers 2 generations of entomological french musicians such as Pierre Bastien & Mecanium, la Société des Timides à la Parade des Oiseaux, Klimperei, Palo Alto, Dragibus (see above !), Chazam or Norscq... 19 tracks to revive the twenty-years ago dabbler spirit when Ptôse's lunacy was improving the french musical underground networks ! To accompany this tribute, Muséa / Gazul also reissued their second LP Ignobles Limaces released in 84 on AYAA. You may as well listen to them on Ubu et la Merdre, In Poly Sons' inaugurale cranky compilation. Ignoble Vermine's beautiful cover has been designed by Jef Benech' from the Non Finito Orchestra and the peculiar label Mécanique Populaire.

j'étais à bangkok depuis + d'une semaine, ai été a un festival metal

suis à kuala lumpur.
le 23 je joue à singapour, le 25 à kuala et en fin de mois à bangkok,
puis je pars pour le laos.

je dois faire un blog, je te filerai l'adresse, je suis six mois en
tournée par ici [aussi vietnam, chine, corée du sud, japon, taïwan]

j'espère que tu vas bien.

parti de bangkok, je me suis rendu à kuala lumpur, puis à singapour pour y jouer mon premier concert de cette tournée, tout c'est très, très bien passé dans cette dictature infâme et fachiste qui est pire encore que tout ce que j'avais lu et entendu !
je te raconterai plus tard... j'ai en tout cas réussi à sortir du pays avec des fanzines punks et politiques interdit là-bas [passible d'une peine d'emprisonnement pour l'éditeur et de sérieux problèmes pour moi si je m'étais fait attraper ; à singapour, par exemple, toute manifestation = 10 ans d'emprisonnement, et ce de manière automatique] je joue ce soir à kuala lumpur. finalement avec le temps, j'ai eu de
plus en plus de possibilités et demande pour jouer. après bangkok, je pars travailler un peu eu laos et jouer, puis à hanoi [concert, toujours interdit par le régime vietnamien] [mars], puis tournée en chine [+/- autorisé], puis concert à séoul [avril], tournée au japon [mai], re-concerts en chine et taiwan, concert à ho chi minh
[mai/juin], concert de nouveau à bangkok, kuala lumpur, singapour et puis en indonésie [juin].
beh, avec tout ça j'ai plus envie de revenir, eheheh !
je rencontre en tout cas des gens assez extraordinaires ici et des régimes politiques parfois bien douteux et corrompus.
nourriture excellente et chaleur sublime. j'ai déjà collecté pas loin d'une vingtaine de cd et vinyles de tous styles. je joue pour l'instant beaucoup avec des gens de la scène punk, grindcore, metal.

j'ai pour l'instant plus de 200 photos, il faut que je fasse le tri et que je les mette en ligne !
