listen: in august, ouzel records will be 5 years old.
i have no time to celebrate this anniversary with another printed release (ugh!!! i still have to send you one copy of the new morose album!!!!), by the way i wanted to do something: something EASY, with NO STRESS for me and for my friends.
 
so, i was thinking about a CDr compilation (hahaha, what an original idea!!! i am a genius!!) involving all my friends, FOR my friends: a compilation involving just the Ouzel friends, that will be given to the Ouzel friends (i mean no press reviews, no advertisements, but just give the copies away to the friends involved and sell a few copies at the concerts).
i don't ask for brand new songs, by the way also new songs are accepted, of course!
i wish you will join it, as Klimperei was one of Ouzel's first friends.
So, can you provide me a track by Klimperei, or by Deleted? if you want, i can also use a track i already have (i will do this way with most of the people involved, as there is no time!!!), for example i could use a track from "Untitled for now".
 
please, let me know...

just thought i'd drop a line and tell you how much i'm enjoying al & del. i think it will take multiple listens to absorb the music and your role as a crooner but hey, i'm still on the fence when it comes to bing crosby (a second rate cliff edwards or an original stylist?). that was meant as a compliment by the way. melodies and instrument choices as always are a distinct pleasure.
anyhow, busy days on my end but busy is better than the alternative. music for dance at the end of this month followed by a trip to chattanooga and music for transcribed conversations w/senior citizens followed by music for theater in july. several more projects before next year when, if all goes well, i'll be tackling that wonderful score for 3 penny opera. anyhow, all the best....

Dear Christophe,

It has taken almost one year since we last talked. I am  sorry that I have been so bad correspondent but I had to do a lot of things and you know the time moves faster moment by moment.

I knew that your collaboration with Frank Pahl is selling very well in Japan and that you are having many fans and friends there. I have not listened to it yet, as I do not have copy, but Amy Denio, who was here in Sofia, told me that she had been crying while she had been listening to the first track of the CD.

The news from the Legendary Poptones is that we spent almost the whole January in collaboration with Amy Denio and Beth Custer here in Sofia. We were recording some improvisation and made a few gigs! It was really fantastic! I hope we will release a CD of this collaboration.

Well. I am looking forward to getting some news from!
